Welcome to Zebra Class!
This week is English Week! We have been learning the story "Chicken Licken" and in our classroom you will find all kind of activities linked to...CHICKENS!!
We have learnt about the Polish Art of Wycinanki which is a traditional paper folding and cutting craft featuring symmetrical and natural designs. The chicken is a poplar animal in these designs.
In Maths, we created stone chickens and weighed them using digital scales and measured out chicken feed for them using beakers and measuring cylinders.
One of our favourite activities this week has been learning about eggs and making bouncy eggs!! We performed an experiment using vinegar and eggs.. You can check out the results in our videos below!
In Zebra Class this term, our topic is "Water Everywhere!" We have been learning all about water including why water is important to humans, plants and animals. We are experts on the frog life cycle and can tell you whether an animal is a mammal, an amphibian, a reptile, a fish or a bird!
In English we have linked our learning to our Topic and we have been reading "Hugo and the Bully Frogs." We are now writing descriptions about deep sea creatures and are looking forward to creating our own weird and wonderful creatures using modelling clay!
This week was our Class Assembly and we shared some of our learning with our parents and the rest of the school. Check out the videos below!
