Then we will be looking at our class novel which is 'Supertato' and will be writing extended narratives for any adventure story. Finally, we will be writing menus for our pop up restaurant and a non-chronological report to show what we have learnt about healthy living.

Our Theme in Term 1 is:

During this topic, we will be looking at the basic needs of animals, how we can tell if something is alive, dead or never been alive using a scientific enquiry skills. We will be look at the body and learning about the muscles and bones and how we can keep ourselves healthy by having a balanced diet.

In D.T., we will be making our own healthy foods and learning different culinary skills. In R.E., we will be finding out about Christianity by looking at bibles and the stories it teaches us. We would welcome Parent volunteers for reading with the children - please let Mrs Barnes know if you can spare some time.

We believe it would be extremely beneficial for your child, if you:

Listened to them read at least five times per week and helped them to learn their weekly spellings. This will further support their class learning.
