Didn't they do Wells?

On Wednesday 5th December 2018, fourteen children from Key Stage 2 took part in a Carol Concert at Wells Cathedral. All eight participating schools from across Somerset have been rehearsing a variety of winter songs and Christmas carols including, Jack Frost, In the Bleak Midwinter and the Hallelujah Chorus. Our choir have worked hard to learn the songs and attend lunchtime rehearsals. On Wednesday afternoon the eight schools met at the Cathedral and rehearsed the songs together with an inspiring musical director, who added the details needed for the evening performance.

In the evening the Woolavington Choir performed to a packed cathedral and despite some last minute nerves, all the children sang with such confidence and it was clear from their faces how much they were enjoying the experience of singing in such a wonderful venue. Look at how our new uniform stands out in the crowd too! Thank you to all of the parents who were able to attend the concert and well done to all of the children, you performed brilliantly, a lovely start to the festive season.

Thank you to Mrs Lovell and Mr Brooksbank for making it happen!
